About the Hair Stylist position

At yello we are looking to add a stylist who specializes in blonding and haircuts.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 or more years of experience with clients and is willing to learn coloring and cutting techniques from our team.

We are hiring for both commission and independent contractors. Most stylists start on as commission to build their books and move into renting a chair at yello when their books are full.

We have had to turn away clients for several months due to high demand, so this is a great place to build your clientele.

Typical services at yello are:

Haircut
Balayage
Partial and Full Highlight
Toner
Root Color
All Over Color

Competitive pay:

Starting at $100k based on full time independent (5 day work week)
Starting at $55k based on full time commission (5 day work week)

Hair Stylist requirements are:

Current Oregon Cosmetology license
1+ years working with clients
Great communication—listening and understanding client needs
Attention to detail
Time management to ensure you're on schedule for all clients
