introducing rōz. we came across their line of hair care products that fit everything we were looking for—something that was a little higher end, unique, and most importantly, clean. it’s a product that you won’t find at every hair salon in portland (at least not yet), and we couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that starting this fall, we’ll be carrying their full line of products at yello.

when you think of yello, we want you to think blondes. sun-kissed, dimensional, natural, bright—we do it all (well all when it comes to blondes). it’s why we call ourselves the sunniest place in portland, even when it’s raining outside, any one of our stylists can give you the perfect sun kissed hair.

This collaboration between yello and the Sports Bra, two women owned businesses, is about showing up as a city and setting a new standard. It’s the reason we all live in Portland and love our city.

This list is always changing because we're lucky to be home to so many amazing restaurants, bars, coffee shops (and salons) here in Portland. We have small printed cards at the salon that we update for our stylists to hand out to clients who are new to Portland.

We wanted to share something we are passionate about that maybe other hair salon owners can gain value from which is "how to think like a brand, not just a salon." This has been our mindset from day one in our efforts of becoming the best blonding hair salon in portland and a building a brand that clients are excited to be a part of.

Being the best hair salon to us is about always improving internally, growing closer as a team, improving on our expertise, adding to the client's experience, and overall making yello an amazing portland brand name.

Finding a stylists takes research and a little bit of luck but ultimately it may take more than one visit for a stylist to truly understand you and your hair.
