we totally understand that life happens and things change. however, because our stylists here at yello are independent contractors, they are unable to be compensated for services they don't perform.
to protect our stylists' time, there's a $50 minimum fee for late cancellations (within 24 hours) and no-shows. This fee is per each stylists' discretion and can result in 100% of the service total charged to the credit card on file.
late cancellations are cancellations made within 24 hours prior to a scheduled appointment whether that appointment is confirmed or unconfirmed. yello® reserves the right to charge cards on file on behalf of all stylists employed through the yello® brand, this includes all independent contractors and employees.
no-shows are classified as appointments where the client does not show up at all or is more than 15 minutes late without communication with the salon or stylist within a reasonable time prior. yello® reserves the right to charge cards on file on behalf of all stylists employed through the yello® brand, this includes all independent contractors and employees.
right to refuse service
yello reserves the right to refuse services if deemed necessary. this is a decision made to protect the stylists' time, health, safety, well-being, and liability.
a stylist can refuse service if they feel unfit, or unable to perform the service(s) requested by an individual.
at yello we follow a three-strike policy to protect our stylists time who rely on clients showing up on schedule to make a living.
our three-strike policy is enforced by our client management system that lists every past appointment, cancellation, late cancellation, no-show, and tardiness.
the three-strike policy includes, but not limited to, any of the following:
tardiness (beyond 15 minutes late to scheduled appointment)
after three or more offenses our system automatically blocks the client account and yello no longer can accept bookings made by such individual for any stylist employed or contracted by yello.
other offenses may result in immediate client termination, such as but not limited to:
unfit service requests
failure of payment
creating an unsafe or hostile environment
refund or service adjustments
